Citywide street market:
This is one of the most highlighted features of the King’s Day. It is called vrijmarkt where people set up stalls and sell a range of products including food, clothes, drinks and just anything else. Prices are negotiable and it is completely interesting. Some Amsterdam residents directly set up their shop outside their own houses. It is one of the world’s largest flea markets where people sell their second-hand things.

Family fun:
If you are visiting with your family, you have a great opportunity to negotiate for some interesting products. Although children love this day and enjoy a lot, adults can also enjoy the activities like, sports events, paints, games and other family events.

King’s Day boating and parties:
On this special day, you will find hundreds of brightly decorated boats pack the Amsterdam waterways, or canals. The best thing to do is, being on one of the boats and watch people dancing from one of the bridges.
Regarding parties, the city is just awesome on the King’s Day. You could enjoy both day and night parties including DJ parties on public squares, live music spills onto the streets from café patios, etc.
